“There are very few 24 / 7 jazz radio stations in America; K.M.H.D. 89.1 fm being one of them – hard to believe but true. Please support jazz in all it’s delivery whether it be recorded music, live music, or music on radio. Why support Jazz? Because Jazz is not only American History, it’s music of the present day as well as the future. It’s artistic and musical integrity has spread worldwide, influencing all music and art for over a century. It is an American National Treasure, dynamic and evolving which should be more realized within our own borders than afar. Get patriotic and listen to jazz once a week at least. You don’t have to know what’s going on immediately in the art form if you’ve never understood it before. Like a novice at a wine tasting, you will become familiar with subtle notes with each and every sip you take. It’s a simple thing – listen, learn, support, grow, enjoy.”
- Tony Pacini, Jazz Pianist, Radio Host, Executive Officer saphu Records.
